Ms. Heather Androvich

Hi there! My name is Heather Androvich and I am your Carteret Junior High School nurse. It means so much to me to be working in the community where I grew up, and I’m happy to be here for our students and families.

I have been a Registered Nurse since 2018. I earned my Bachelor’s in Nursing after working as a Nurse Extern and Patient Care Tech at University Hospital in Newark, NJ, where my passion for patient care took root.

I spent five years working on the Liver Transplant and Hepatology Progressive Care Unit at University Hospital, where I served as a charge nurse and nurse preceptor and attended annual professional seminars through New Jersey’s Sharing Network. During this time, I also frequently cared for patients in Head and Neck Surgery, General Surgery, and Bariatric Surgery. Most recently, I worked at University Hospital for three years in Diagnostic Imaging – mainly in the Trauma CT scan, inpatient MRI, and outpatient PET scan.

I hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and I am a proud member of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN).

In my free time I love to read books on the beach, rescue and home stray cats, travel the world, hike, bake, and go to all sorts of concerts.

In my role at the junior high level, I strive to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care focused on student safety, wellness, and readiness to learn. My goal is to create a safe, supportive health environment where students feel cared for and are able to succeed academically. I’m always here to support students’ health, safety, and well-being—whether it’s a scraped knee, a medication question, or just a friendly check-in 😊
