Work Hard and Play Nicely!
In our classroom, we use ABA based instruction and a Total Communication approach to focus on learning academic, communication, social, daily living, and motor skills. We engage in a variety of activities that range from one to one intensive instruction to small and large group lessons.
Every day in our room includes music, writing, movement, story books, and hands on experiences. Language and communication are infused into everything we do. Our day is carefully planned to maximize opportunities to develop our ability to listen, attend, communicate and develop vocabulary.
Our daily schedule is predictable, to encourage a sense of safety and security. Routines are taught within the schedule to promote independence.
Best of all, we have FUN! We sing, dance, play, and exercise together. We work on building relationships and learning good manners. We help each other to be our best!
