Hello!  Welcome to my teacher's page.

My name is Ms. Dutcher and this is my ninth year teaching in Carteret.  I am the elementary instrumental music teacher in the Carteret School District, which means  I teach all 3rd graders in the district and all 4th and 5th grade band students.  Although I have taught several different subjects and grade levels, I have been teaching the elementary band since I started!  After school, I also work with Carteret High School's marching band.  It is incredibly rewarding to be able to continue to teach my students in this way after they leave elementary school.

I attended the University of Delaware, where I received a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education with a concentration in Trombone and a minor in Classical Guitar.  I continue to play in my spare time and am a member of the New Jersey Wind Symphony.  Making music has always been my passion, no matter what the instrument, and I am so excited to share that passion with my students.
