Rising Ramblers
The Rising Ramblers Program is a positive reinforcement initiative geared towards the students at CMS. It includes a 3:1 positive to negative interaction ratio. It uses behavior specific praise to reinforce positive behaviors, employs indirect strategies to cue appropriate behavior (praise students near student for appropriate behavior, provide whole group restatement of expectations), and phrase corrections in terms of what the student should be doing instead of what they should stop doing. Students receive “Rise Rewards”for positive behavior that they exhibit. Each month there is one specific behavior the students work towards exhibiting, in conjunction with their daily positive behaviors. All students at CMS are expected to display conduct becoming of Rising Ramblers!
