Hello! My name is Sheri Monteiro and I am the 7th & 8th Grade English Language Arts Resource Teacher as well as an in-class resource English Teacher at Carteret Junior High School. I have worked in the Carteret School District for the past five years. Prior to working in Carteret, I maintained my presence in the Educational System for the past fourteen years, working as a main office & guidance secretary, as a paraprofessional, as a mentor, and as a long-term substitute teacher in the Rahway School District. Teaching and helping students foster success is my passion. I wake up every day excited about helping scholars achieve their goals and plan their futures. Outside of teaching, I am a mom to two beautiful boys. 

My Education

I grew up in Rahway and attended school in Rahway my entire life. Upon graduating, I attended community college for two years before transferring to Kean University and graduating Magna Cum Laude with a dual bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Special Education.
