Ms. Merita Euell

Merita Euell grew up in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to a small town in Bergen County - Dumont, NJ where she attended eighth grade and High School. She received a Bachelors of Art degree, from Felician College, in  which she was also a four year member of the Division II Women’s Basketball Team.  She later received her first of three master's degrees, in Education at Monmouth University and began her teaching career at the elementary level in Perth Amboy, NJ.  She taught third, then fourth grade from 2003-2013. Her administrative path in Perth Amboy began in curriculum and instruction, and later served as Vice Principal at the William C. McGinnis Middle School.  

In December 2021, Ms. Euell began her career in Carteret as the Columbus School Vice Principal.  

Ms. Merita Euell was appointed as the Carteret Middle School Principal in July of 2022.  In addition to being devoted to her career, Ms. Euell enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children and close family friends.  You can find her greeting students each morning with a warm smile and a high five!

Mr. Jihad Jubran

Jihad Jubran began his educational career in the East Orange School District in 2012 as an 8th grade US History II teacher. Mr. Jubran then taught World History and Financial Literacy before accepting his role as the Social Studies department lead. Over the next five years, Mr. Jubran continued to serve as a social studies department lead at two different middle schools throughout the district before accepting a school-based Technology Coordinator position. In 2019, Mr. Jubran accepted a position as Vice Principal of Columbus School for the Carteret School District where his love to inspire and encourage students to be the best they can be inside and outside of the classroom is being fulfilled. Mr. Jubran received a Bachelor’s Degree in History/Secondary Education from New Jersey City University in 2012. He returned to Montclair State University in 2014 where he earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in 2016.
