Carteret Middle School

Hello parents/ guardians and thank you for visiting my teacher page! I'm so excited to be part of your child's education and only hope to be a stepping stone for a very successful career for them! To start with, let me tell you a little about my background. This is my 9th year of teaching (7th year in Carteret School District). I also grew up in Carteret. My school career started at Washington School (what is now the Board of Education), continued to Minue School, Carteret Middle School, and finally, Carteret High School. I went on to attend Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where I found my passion to become a teacher, and of course, since math is my forte, specialized in grades 5-8 mathematics. While teaching, I also continued school and got my supervisor certificate.

In 2022, I was able to start my own little family and had a beautiful little girl, who you will probably hear a lot about from your kids! Between being a mom, a teacher, and a wife, I try to find time to read, sleep, and travel!

You will notice our Google Classroom page linked (each class has their own page). This is where you will find the most up-to-date assignments, announcements, notes, and extra resources for our class. I also update homework daily here as well! Your child's grades are updated weekly, and can be accessed on Parent Portal and the Student Portal. We encourage our students to also check their grades, make sure all assignments have been turned in, and, if need be, speak to us regarding any missing work that can be made up. 

I am looking forward to a great 2024/2025 school year with all of our kids!
