Hi ! I'm Mrs. Oakes, Nathan Hale's School Nurse.  I have been in Nursing for over 30+ years.  I have a background in med/surg, cardiac, peds and ICU as a staff nurse for 4 years. Following this, I taught at Wagner College for 2 years and for 4 years at St Elizabeth's Hospital, now known as Trinitas Hospital. Then for 16 years, I held Nursing Management positions in various hospitals in Staten Island and New Jersey.

For the past 12 years, I have worked for the Carteret School District. My first 2 years I was the School Nurse at Carteret Middle School and for the past 10 years at Nathan Hale Elementary School. I love my job and enjoy working with the students, parents and staff. I am here for you and your child. My goal is to work with the students and parents to keep them healthy. Especially during this time with COVID-19, it is important we work together as a team. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Finally, I am a volunteer for the PTO at Nathan Hale. I coordinate the fundraisers and events for the school. We are always looking for parents to help us for events and become an officer. Please contact me if you are interested in joining the PTO.
