Mr. Christian Zimmer
Director of Data, Evaluation and Assessment
Christian Zimmer has been in the field of education for 25 years. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Rutgers University, Mr. Zimmer attended New York University where he earned a Masters of Arts degree in Secondary Social Studies Education and Curriculum, followed by a Masters in Administration and Supervision from Saint Peter’s University. His educational experiences include teaching fifth grade, computer technology integration grades 1-8, World History, US History I & II, and video production in Union City. Mr. Zimmer enjoyed coaching boys and girls basketball and tennis for over 10 years. After joining Carteret as a vice-principal at Carteret Middle School in 2005, he became the principal of Columbus School in 2008 and then Nathan Hale in 2015. Mr. Zimmer is a Leader to Leader mentor for new administrators. He has served as the Director of Data, Evaluation & Assessment and Supervisor of Social Studies since 2018. Mr. Zimmer is a proponent of problem-based learning and maximizing the potential of each student.
