Hello! Welcome to my teacher's page!  

This is my 10th year teaching at Columbus School and 10th year teaching First Grade. 

I grew up in Carteret and have lived here for almost my entire life so far. I attended Columbus School from grade 3-8.

I moved to Pennsylvania where I lived for 11 years, but wanted to return to my hometown of Carteret and moved back here. I live in town with my daughter, Sarah, who is a graduate of GCU with a BS is Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work. 

Besides teaching first grade, I am actively involved in our Title 1 after school program where I have both taught for many years and have been Lead Teacher for a couple of years. I represent Columbus School as a member of the Data Team, and I have also been a member of the breakfast team and inclement weather team. I am also involved in writing various curriculums for our grade level. 

My hobbies include reading, spending time with family, and taking the time to enjoy life. If you have ever seen my classroom, you will find that I am a big Disney fan and enjoy visiting Disney World. 

I am looking forward to having an amazing year with my students!

  • Those students in my class, 2024-2025 will not need many school supplies, I will provide everything that they need in class. I am lucky enough to have generous donors that help with supplies for my class. 

    All your child will need is a backpack, lunchbox, and water bottle and A GOOD PAIR OF HEADPHONES for daily use. Those are the only things that I cannot supply. 

    I suggest you have glue sticks, crayons, scissors, and pencils to keep at home for homework, but you do not need to send any in to school.
