Welcome! I am a third grade teacher here at Columbus School. This will be my 4th year overall, but 3rd year as a teacher.  I love to read, workout, play football, and coach. My favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys. Our classroom theme is full of wonder and imagination, inspired by fictional characters like Ash Ketchum and Pikachu. 

In third grade, students will read independently daily. Students will explore a new reading program called "Being A Reader" which introduces skills that will enhance learning and prepare them for the NJSLA. Students will also learn new skills with partners (buddy reading). Our theme will vary from non-fiction to fiction. Students will also learn how to build stamina by writing personal narratives and expository texts.

Students will learn the foundation of multiplication and division. By the end of the school year, students will know multiplication and the foundation of finding area. Math will be done in a workshop-like format.
