• Student Council

Columbus School’s Student Council is a student-led club that organizes events to support Columbus Elementary School and the Carteret community. Students in grades three, four and five may run for Homeroom Representative, while students in fifth grade may run for School Representative, President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer. The club meets monthly to discuss new fundraisers and activities to help support our school and community. The students are full of eager ideas and look forward to our meetings. A few jobs that student council members are responsible for are: attending monthly meetings, creating promotional posters for Student Council events, writing letters to donors, and collaborating ideas with their peers. Most importantly, all Student Council members must represent themselves in a respectful way. Being a Student Council member regardless of position requires you to be a responsible student both inside and outside of the classroom. Columbus School Student Council prepares its members to be productive global citizens.
