Joanna Joaquin
Mrs. Joanna Joaquin earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University.
Prior to becoming a Principal at Carteret High School, Mrs. Joaquin served as a Middle School Vice-Principal in the neighboring town of Perth Amboy, an English Language Arts Supervisor at a Charter School in Jersey City, and as a high school English teacher in the city of Paterson.
One of Mrs. Joaquin's favorite things to do is to sit in a comfy chair, read a good book, and drink a delicious cup of coffee. Truth be told---her idea of an outside activity is taking a book outside to read. Her favorite novels are Mary Shelly's Frankenstein and Bram Stoker's Dracula. While she also loves Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Shakespeare she is just as in love with Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Saga. Don't judge.
Traveling is also one of Mrs. Joaquin's passions. Her favorite city is Paris and she hopes to someday spend a year living in the city of lights. Bonjour!
Mrs. Joaquin is also a dedicated mother and wife, and cherishes family time with her husband and daughter.
Mrs. Joaquin is truly honored to serve and work with the Carteret High School community.
