"Creativity takes Courage" by Matisse
I find that quote to be so true especially in a school setting. To be creative is to be different, to take chances, not being afraid of making mistakes, and all along the way being yourself as well. That takes courage, especially as a teen battling your way through this awkard great memorable time we call High School.
I graduated from Montclair State University with a BA in Art Education specializing in Sculpture. I have been an Art Teacher at CHS for the past two years. At CHS I teach Drawing 1 and Art Appreciation. When you enter my class you will see me with a coffee in my hand (must have) and a smile. I love teaching art because i get to see my students make amazing things. I have a passion for art history and introducing my students to finding beauty all around them. In my class you will build your creativity and gain the skills to present your ideas into a visual representation.
I am so excited and honored to be able to share my passion of the visual arts with you. Be ready to express yourself, expand your skills, and experience the universal language of ART. I can't wait to meet you.
