Dr. Jack Bradley, Director
Dr. Bradley originally hails from the great state of Louisiana - a great place to grow up for a young musician. As a high schooler, Young Doc played primarily clarinet, but was also known to play alto and tenor sax in Jazz Band, and Drumline in the Marching Band. After Graduation, he headed to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to major in clarinet performance, earning his Bachelor of Music Degree at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!).
He then obtained his Master of Music from Northwestern State University (Fork ‘Em, Demons!), before auditioning for and winning a clarinet position in the United States Air Force Band of the West. Airman First Class Bradley served for five years in the US Air Force, playing clarinet in every ensemble imaginable, in front of literally hundreds of thousands of Americans.
Mr. Bradley became Dr. Bradley in 2008, with the completion of the Doctorate of the Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance from the Mason Gross School of Music at Rutgers University. One year later, Dr. Bradley became the Director of Bands at Carteret High School, and the transformation to “Doc” was complete.
