CARTERET HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER
Program PhilosophyThe goal of the Carteret Girls Soccer Program is to provide a player-centered learning environment that helps each player develop the student-athlete's technical, tactical, physical, social and intellectual needs. Complimentary to the player and team development is the commitment to foster the life skills of integrity, sportsmanship, discipline, responsibility, humility, commitment, respect and teamwork, as well as promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Our program will be inclusive and expansive for all class levels. The program will be seamless between Varsity and JV levels as respects practice and game plan development.
Fundamentals will be drilled at all levels. Practices will be designed to reinforce fundamentals and create a positive learning environment. Training sessions will simulate game situations at all times. Physical conditioning will be a priority at all levels, at all times. At each level, the good of the entire team is valued as well as the needs of the individual. Our coaching staff will motivate the players with positive reinforcement, engage in open communication and demonstrate predictable behavior while also working to instill valuable character traits such as unselfishness, a solid work ethic and the ability for a player to see beyond her own success.
