Design B - 9-12 Grade - 2.5 credits
Pre-Requisite: Successful completion of Design A
This course builds on knowledge obtained in Design A. It focuses on students interested in hands-on projects that are more intricate. Students are introduced to such things as Zentangle, alphabet font design, Moroccan tapestry, weaving pillow or wall hangings, Gothic stained glass, traditional bookbinding, Surrealism painting, cross-stitch, crochet scarf and recycle coiled basket. Students will gain experience with working on a wide variety of media: such as various papers, tempera, crayons, pastels (oil and dry), tape cutting, tearing, block printing, inks, newspaper, cardboard, paper mache, paint, wire, yarn and many more.
